Car Insurance in Northern Ireland
Why Fewer Companies offer Car insurance for Northern Ireland
If you need cover for Northern Ireland you'll know
that there aren't nearly as many choices available for online quotes.
Car Insurance for Northern Ireland should really start to be more readily
available because it is part of the UK. The area has undergone amazing changes
in the last 10 years and a lot of the troubles that were a serious risk factor
for insurers in the past are no longer there.
It is likely that the history of Northern Ireland is still playing a part in the premiums that are
being quoted as well. Certain Counties are still classed as extreme high risk and costs for all types of cover is high.
Fewer than 10% of drivers in Northern Ireland with Car Insurance said that
they have made a claim in the last three years. At the opposite end of the
scale 24% of London drivers said that they had made a claim.
We would suggest you get a car with a low insurance group, a Group one would
be the best as far as cost goes, or a Group two would be fine. This does mean
the car is likely to have a small engine but that means lower running costs
anyway.
